HIGH - PRESSURE DIE CASTING


This process has enabled the production of aluminum components in series production with thin wall thicknesses, low dimensional tolerances and pressure tightness.

Mazzucconi produces aluminum safety components that require numerous quality checks in order to guarantee mechanical, metallurgical and dimensional characteristics.

Our dedicated facility produces with 21 completely automatized and standardized casting cells of medium sized tonnage, enabling the maximum flexibility to be able to react to the continuous changes of the market.

LOW-PRESSURE DIE CASTING

This is the single most important technology in Mazzucconi for the production of suspension components and engine blocks.

The low pressure die casting process can reach elevated standards of mechanical characteristics, at the same time granting geometrical flexibility by the use of san cores.

The high level of surface quality even enables the production of components with aesthetical surface finishing requirements. All the production processes following the casting are highly automatized: decoreing, cutting, deburring, x-ray, heat treatment and liquid penetrant testing. Mazzucconi develops and constructs its own low-pressure casting machinery, in this way guaranteeing the maximum integration between machinery and tooling.

 

GRAVITY PRESSURE

Mazzucconi is able to offer both traditional gravity casting as well as state-of-the-art tilt casting processes. Throughout the years, Mazzucconi has developed its own tilt casting technology, building an innovative  casting cell that unites both flexibility and productivity.

The Mazzucconi casting technology has been developed specifically for its main application: the production of cylinder heads. The casting cells are completely automatized and guarantee the maximum production efficiency and quality. The patented tilt casting process reaches the highest mechanical characteristics, a necessity for today’s high performance engines.
